After more than 35 years Lee Andersen is stepping down from designing and we are shutting down our website for sales.
The Lee Andersen site will now be an archival site, dedicated to the design achievements of Lee and her amazing work, both in New Zealand, and here in the United States.
In her long and incredibly prolific career she has designed over 6000 garments and her pieces have been worn by everyone from the Queen of Spain to Phylicia Rashad on "The Cosby Show" to Diana Gabaldon, the author of the "Outlander" book series.
If you are looking to authenticate a piece that you have found that you believe may be a Lee Andersen original, check out our Archive pages to find out.

So what is Lee doing NOW?
Although Lee isn't actively designing anymore, she is helping the next generation of designers.
The Lee Andersen studio is now home to a makerspace, where up and coming designers are creating and Lee is guiding them with her many years of knowledge.
She is also teaching through her MD Fashion Institute(MDFin) and Howard Community College. Teaching classes on sewing and pattern making to eager students who wish to keep the art of handmade clothing alive!
