*SOLD OUT* Blood Pirate Hat

History is filled with wild tales of pirates. We tend to romanticize these villains of the sea these days, but they were a feared and violent bunch. Some of the most feared and dreaded were the female pirates of history. This Summer-weight tricorn, a style worn during much of the time when pirates were at the height of their high-jinx, is made from a vintage straw hat that has been hand sewn into this form. Then the tassel trim was hand-sewn into place before the red and gold trim secured with glue. The Rosette Cockade is handmade with satin ribbon and a vintage brooch and then hand sewn onto the side for a flourish.A feather and a piece of black-dyed Pampas Grass finish off the look.
